Wish it had Fahrenheit display. Only has CelsiusThis is VERY loud but its probably just the nature of the beast for these types of tools. I will set this to run and leave the shop for lunch while it does its thing. It does take FOREVER to heat up the tank which is why I've only given it a 4 star review.Bought this unit in November ‘21 and used it to clean two cylinder heads. Did a great job. I put it away until I needed it again in February to start cleaning motorcycle carburetors. Again, did a great job. I used it a few times per week, and it got those carbs clean. In mid March, it quit. Still gets power to the on/off switch, but gets no power to the control panel. Fuse tests good. Contacted seller and they offered to give me 1/2 money back. I said no, I want a new unit. Their reply was “Then you can contact Amazon for help.” Amazon has a thirty day return policy on this item, so I expect no help there, but you never know till you try? Seller Tolsous: won’t be purchasing anything from them again, if I can avoid them. Guess I should have taken the half refund and used it to buy a smaller unit from SOMEONE ELSE?Contacted seller one more time after taking apart the cleaner to diagnose. I found the power distribution board (the first control board of three) has what looks like burnt transistors. I asked the seller if they would just send me a new board. They offered $160 in refund, I accepted and upgraded to two stars. Now I just have to see if the refund comes through. In the meantime I will see if my uncle, who is a retired electrical engineer, has any insight on repairing the board.A splash of purple degreaser mixed into the water is what I used to clean some extremely dirty and varnished up 1970's motorcycle carbs and they came out looking like new. The plated (zinc perhaps) bodies literally looked brand new, and the float bowl discolored slightly (likely due to purple degreaser reacting with aluminum). I took a varnished up carb with a stuck needle and solidly plugged jets and they cleaned up beautifuly running 2 30 minute cleaning cycles. It was a little noisy, but still able to have a conversation with friends with it running. A heavy blanket placed over the top reduced the noise somewhat (it gets louder when you put the stainless lid on, I think the blanket helps dampen that noise). I have always wanted one of these and I do not used any other brands to compare against, but have to say I am impressed. After years of cleaning carbs by hand. I pulled the trigger on this 22L cleaner. On July 20 I put a inline four carb setup. It did a great job the carbs look like brand new. So what is in box you get a large steel basket and a small basket by not small enough for small screws. It also come with a fitting and hose for the drain. The cleaner took over a hour to hit 65c or 149F I used two gals of simple green and two gals of hot water mix. So the big question is would I buy this again and I would. I would just get the next size up to the 30L tank. The 30L is 1.8 inches deeper. So do not turn on until you fill the tank and do not empty the tank until the solution is cold. I cleaned it the next day. And strained the simple green back into the gal jugs. Also the warranty is one year.Worked good but added some jewelry cleaner to water - said use only water - also had to run a little longer - good for price - easy clean upIt worked great once. I put it away until I needed it again. Got it out to clean a set of carbs. It was working. I set it to run for 30 minutes and went to do something else. I came back and it wasn't doing anything. Seller offered me $10 off on another one. No thanks.I've been using this cleaner about 5 times since I received it 6 months ago, only with dish soap, water and sometime adding some white vinegar. I emptied, cleaned and dried the tank each time. This morning (just 4 days after my support window closed! I can't even contact these guys anymore), I was ready to use it when I noticed the tank was perforate right below one of the 4 legs of the basket, and about to be perforated below another one (pictures attached). These legs are protect by rubber. The rubber is intact. My guess is that the tanks is so thin and made of such a poor quality material that during the cleaning process the legs start scratching the tank making a weak spot for corrosion and then even though I cleaned it after use, whatever moisture was left on these legs + the "legendary" humidity in Houston + time (about 3 months without use) did the rest...I can't see how to fix this... It will probably end up in my garbage. If you still want to buy this crap, I would advise to remove the basket each time after use. It should slow down the corrosion process...
